On June, 14 2025, SPE KNUST deepened its commitment to STEM advocacy and community engagement
through its Energy4Me outreach at Armed Forces Senior High School, Kumasi.
The initiative was carried out in collaboration with the IEEE Computer Society (KNUST) and
featured interactive workshops in programming, 3D animation, and virtual reality. These sessions
exposed students to the possibilities of technology in shaping the future of the energy industry,
sparking curiosity and enthusiasm among the participants.
In addition to the hands-on activities, SPE KNUST organized an Energy Forum at the same school,
where students were introduced to the fundamentals of energy, the global energy transition, and
career pathways in petroleum and energy engineering. This balanced technical innovation with a
broader awareness of sustainability challenges.
The outreach not only inspired future engineers but also reinforced SPE KNUSTās role as a bridge
between academia and industry, nurturing the next generation of innovators while promoting STEM
at the grassroots level
